Terms and Conditions
The following information is provided to ensure that the conditions and circumstances are clearly understood under which Japow LLC, (doing business as Japow Vacations), its agents and service provider’s offer accommodation and services.
Unless otherwise stated, bookings are confirmed upon receipt of a non-refundable 20% deposit payable at the time of booking by credit card or bank transfer. The remaining balance is due 60 days prior to your arrival date and is non-refundable after payment has been made.
Accommodation Final Payments
Final payment is due no later than 60 days prior to arrival. We can either deduct the final payment from the credit card on file or you can contact us to give us an alternative credit card to proceed with the final payment. The final payment is non-refundable.
If your accommodation booking is made less than 60 days prior to your arrival, immediate full payment is required. This payment is non-refundable.
Customers are responsible for any bank service fees incurred if using a bank transfer or wire service.
Accommodation Amendment and Cancellation
If canceling more than 60 days prior to arrival the 20% deposit payment will be forfeited in addition to any transaction and amendment fees, unless otherwise stated.
If canceling within 60 days of arrival a cancellation penalty of 100% of the total invoice will be incurred in addition to any transaction and amendment fees.
In the case the cancellation or modification to any accommodation booking is due to health reasons, flight delays, or any other reasons the deposits and final payments are non-refundable.
If your travel details change for any reason the onus of any cancellation is on the guest. Travel insurance is highly recommended to cover travel delays, loss and injury.
An amendment fee may be charged if changes are made to bookings inside of 14 days prior to arrival such as but not limited to bedding configuration, change of dates, number of guests etc.
Modifications to a confirmed booking that incurs a lower price (e.g. change of Check-in or Check-out date, change of room, etc) may see the difference in deposit or final payment value forfeited. Any modification request cannot be guaranteed.
In all cases, Japow Vacations reserves the right to cancel the guest’s booking for the dates the guest has reserved. This is extremely unlikely, but should this event occur, the guest will be fully refunded.
If the guest fails to pay the balance of the reservation costs or other costs before the due dates, we reserve the right to cancel the guest’s reservation with no refund.
All accommodation has a set maximum occupancy. The price of the accommodation may be determined by both the number and ages of the guests. Changes to the number of and/or the ages of guests may change the accommodation price.
Japow Vacations bookings are accepted subject to the availability of services or accommodation being available. Japow Vacations and/or its agents and service providers reserve the right, without notice, to modify, cancel or withdraw any of the arrangements and in this event the full amount paid will be returned to the customer, and upon rendering the same, all liability of Japow Vacations and/or its agents and service providers shall cease.
Japow Vacations and/or its agents and service providers reserve the right to decline any person as a member of any party at any time.
We can arrange additional cleaning services and bedding configuration changes at additional charges. These additional services are subject to availability of the cleaning staff.
Any damages that occur during your stay will be charged upon check out or up to 7 days after check out.
All properties and rooms are non smoking.
Pets are prohibited in all properties.
As is Japanese tradition, please remove your shoes when entering any accommodation property.
It is our expectation that guests be courteous, respect Japanese customs and culture, and be mindful of their neighbors.
In the unlikely event that any of the above policies are violated Japow Vacations reserves the right to ask you and your group to leave the accommodation. In this situation a refund will not be issued and any additional cleaning or repairs will be charged in full. These charges will also be levied by any further costs incurred moving later guests affected by the damages to an alternative accommodation.
Additional Services Deposit
Any additional Services (such as but not limited to, airport transfers, lift tickets, and guiding services) added to your booking 60 days prior to your arrival date require a deposit of 20%. The final payment of Services is required 60 days prior to your arrival.
Any Services added to your booking less than 60 days prior to your arrival date require immediate full payment.
Services Cancellation Policy
Cancellations and amendments of Services booked on your behalf may incur charges. Please make sure you check each products’ Terms and Conditions and contact us should you have any questions.
Deposits or final payments relating to Services that could not be used due to health reasons, flight delays, inclement weather or any other reason are not refundable. Travel insurance is highly recommended to cover travel delays, loss and injury.
Snow and Weather Conditions
Japow vacations cannot be held responsible for snow and weather conditions. No accommodation booking can be cancelled, altered or amended without penalty on the basis of snow and weather conditions.
Limitation of Liability
Japow Vacations shall not, under any circumstances, be liable for any injury, damage, loss, accident, delay or irregularity that may be caused to person or property, however caused.
Bookings for accommodation and services may be subject to additional accommodation and/or external service providers’ Terms and Conditions. A copy of these Terms and Conditions are available upon request.
